Implementations — Becoming Pathways™
Implementation

After-School Programs

A thoughtful implementation of Becoming Pathways™.

Every implementation reflects the unique rhythms, relationships, responsibilities, and opportunities of its setting.

While each environment is different, the philosophy remains the same.

Becoming Pathways™ is thoughtfully adapted to where becoming happens.

Who Is It For?

School-age childcare programs, after-school programs, extended day programs, enrichment programs, community-based after-school programs, and out-of-school time organizations.

What Does Implementation Look Like?
Within after-school programs, Becoming Pathways™ provides a dedicated time for children and young people to participate in the carefully designed Thoughtful Entrustments™. Organizations intentionally set aside a consistent period each day or week during which children experience meaningful opportunities, meaningful responsibilities, and thoughtfully entrusted experiences appropriate to their stage of becoming. Rather than adding another academic program, Becoming Pathways™ transforms after-school hours into an intentional space for participating in who children and young people are becoming. Implementation fits naturally within existing after-school schedules while providing a clear pathway for moving through each stage of becoming over time.
The Philosophy Remains The Same

Every After-School Program
Is Different.

The rhythms may differ.
The responsibilities may differ.
The relationships may differ.
But every after-school program offers meaningful opportunities to participate in who children and young people are becoming.

Begin Your Implementation Journey

Whether you are implementing Becoming Pathways™ within your after-school program or across a larger organization, every journey begins with thoughtfully participating in who children and young people are becoming.
